Before you rent a room for a party, be it at a larger location such as a ballroom or a small, isolated party room in a bar or club, you need to decide exactly what it is you intend to use the room for. Are you just planning a night out with your friends? Then you’ll probably just want to rent a room in a bar or club. Planning a bigger event? Restaurants and places like VFA halls offer larger locations that are suitable for upwards of 20+ people.

You should call around to check prices so as to get the best possible deal. A lot of places with have a minimum number of required individuals to rent the room, or require the party to purchase a set amount of drinks before renting the room. All of this should be considered before selecting a party room, lest you arrive and realize you don’t have enough people. Many places will also offer bottle service, or private servers, often at a slightly increased cost.

Since party rooms are very popular, especially during the summer months and during holidays, you should make sure you reserve the room as far in advance as humanly possible to ensure you get your first choice. This typically requires a deposit, which will be refunded once the night is over.

Each party room is different, offering different amenities and services dependant on the location. Some include food, some don’t, and in rare occasions some might not even serve liquor. All of these things, plus the above, should be considered when reserving a party room to make your night as memorable as possible.
